The FY26 Budget Bill was introduced at the April 15, 2025, Council meeting.
To promote full transparency, the proposed recommendations for balancing the budget were clearly outlined in the bill below,
May 6, 2025 - Budget Public Hearing & Mtg w/ Municipalities
The first public hearing on the FY26 Budget bill took place on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Room 110 of the County Office Building, located at 501 Court Lane, Cambridge, Maryland.
The recommendations that were listed separately in the bill introduced at the April 15, 2025 Council meeting have been incorporated throughout the bill below,
The public is invited to provide comments during the hearing.
May 13, 2025 - Budget Public Hearing Only
The second public hearing on the FY26 Budget bill was held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in Room 110 of the County Office Building, located at 501 Court Lane, Cambridge, Maryland.
The public is invited to provide comments during the hearing.
After this meeting, the Council may amend the proposed budget. Any changes will be reflected in the proposed bill presented at the May 20, 2025, meeting for the Council’s final consideration during the public hearing.
May 20, 2025 - Budget Legislative Hearing & Adoption
The Council adopted the FY26 Budget bill, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
