DORCHESTER COUNTY TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE

Pursuant to Resolution 454 , the Dorchester County Council established a Traffic Safety Committee (TSC) to assist with issues regarding County roads.

Duties

The role of the TSC is to address issues that arise regarding County roads including by not limited to changing speed limit signs and placement of traffic signs. The TSC provides advice and recommendations to the County Council but is not a decision making/policy group.

Membership

Consists of three members from the following:  Sheriff, Public Works Director or assigned Division Heads as assigned by the County Manager or Public Safety Director or assigned Division Heads as assigned by the County Manager and one representative from the County Council.

Meetings

TSC only meets on items referred by the County Council, no more than once per month unless specifically requested to do so.
