PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 10-312(f) of the Local Government Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, that the County Council of Dorchester County, Maryland will, on April 15, 2025 at 6:06 p.m., consider public comments regarding the proposed sale of the County owned property specified below:

Lot 12 – S/S Thomas Drive and N/S Stone Boundary Road (5.4 acres +/-)

The County Council is considering the request of a company to purchase Lots 11, 12 and 13 for the purpose of constructing a research and development (R&D) campus on the property, including a 30,000 square foot testing laboratory, a state-of-the-art training facility, and an office complex. The company’s goal is to create between 200 and 300 jobs in the next 10 years including technology and skilled labor positions. This mission aligns with the goals and objectives of the Dorchester Regional Technology Park as well as the Mid-Shore Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, both of which encourage programs that accelerate the development and expansion of companies applying new concepts and technologies in innovative ways. The proposed purchase price is $296,400. Pursuant to a 2016 Loan Agreement with the Maryland Department of Commerce, the purchase price is subject to State approval.
As part of the proposed acquisition of Lots 11, 12, and 13, the company has requested a right of first refusal option on Lots 6, 7 and 8 in the Business and Technology Park, which the County Council will consider for a term of six (6) months after settlement on Lots 11, 12, and 13.
Any comments on the proposed sale of the property will be considered by the County Council at that time. This public hearing will be held in the County Office Building, 501 Court Lane, Room 110, Cambridge, Maryland 21613.
