PUBLIC NOTICE

DORCHESTER COUNTY, MARYLAND NOTICE OF A PROPOSED

REAL PROPERTY TAX RATE INCREASE

For the taxable year beginning July 1, 2025, the County Council of Dorchester County, Maryland proposes to increase real property tax rates from $1.00 per $100 of assessment to $1.03 per $100 of assessment.

A public hearing on the proposed real property tax rate increase will be held at 6:04 p.m. on May 20, 2025, at 501 Court Lane, Cambridge, Maryland, 21613. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged. Persons with questions regarding this hearing may call (410) 228-1700 for further information.
