The primary function of the Treasury Office is the billing and collection of real estate and utility property taxes. In addition, we also serve as the central collection point for all Dorchester County Government revenues.

Data Search of Real Property in Dorchester County – You can obtain ownership and value information about real property in Dorchester County from this database maintained by the State Department of Assessments and Taxation.

You can now e-record deeds online in Dorchester County. All you need is a PC, high-speed internet access, and a scanner.

The Treasury team monitors the Simplifile system (www.simplifile.com) each business day to manage processing of property deeds submitted to the Finance/Treasury Office for review. Simplifile is used to accept and stamp or reject electronically submitted deeds through the Simplifile system. This means faster property closing times for County residents.
