SITE PLAN REQUIREMENTS FOR BUILDING PERMITS

Every application for a building permit, signed by the applicant, shall be accompanied by:

1.  plans, drawn approximately to scale, showing the shape and dimensions of the lot to be used or built upon         
2. the exact location, size and height of any building or structure to be erected or altered;
3.  the existing or intended use of each lot or building, and show location of all existing structures;
4.  the number of family or housekeeping units the building is intended to accommodate;
5. All lot dimensions on these plans shall be based on actual survey or deed description;
6.  location of existing forest and woodland;
7. other information with regard to the lot and neighboring lots as may be necessary to determine compliance
   IF YOUR PROPERTY IS IN THE CRITICAL AREA (WITHIN 1000’ OF TIDAL WATER OR WETLANDS) THE
   FOLLOWING MUST ALSO BE PROVIDED:
   
8. dimensions of all existing improvements (dwellings, accessory structures, sidewalks, patios, driveways, and concrete pads;
9. location of all streams, waterways and wetlands.

I CERTIFY THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR SUBMITTING THE ABOVE REQUIRED INFORMATION AND THAT I UNDERSTAND THE PLANNING OFFICE WILL RELY ON THIS INFORMATION FOR PURPOSES OF DETERMINING COMPLIANCE WITH COUNTY LAWS.
