Starting Salary $41,454
(may be higher based on experience)
This position is assigned to the Planning and Zoning Department and will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative, routine and complex technical services involved in the enforcement of the building, plumbing, HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) and floodplain of the County’s related codes. This position may also provide support to the Board of License Commissioners (primarily responsible for beer, wine and liquor license, as inspections).
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in one of the building trades or as a building inspector.
Valid driver’s license.
Must obtain a Maryland State Building Codes proficiency certificate.
Must obtain ICC Plan Review certification within first year of employment.
