This position is responsible for performing data-entry, advanced bookkeeping and general fiscal work within the County’s Finance Department. This position is responsible for processing and posting routine fiscal transaction, reconciling both accounting and tax records, analyzing fiscal transactions and resolving problems. This position specializes in accounting functions.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Finance Director and may receive direction from the Finance Director.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Associates Degree, in an applicable field, is highly preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years of general bookkeeping, clerical or administrative experience is required. Supplemental course work in bookkeeping, accounting, computer operations, typing and office practices is preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, and Other Special Requirements:
A valid Maryland Driver’s license.
