Minimum Starting Salary $46,341
This position is responsible for providing administrative support, at a highly experienced level. This includes, but is not limited to, answering and directing calls, greeting and assisting citizens, filing, preparing meeting follow up, preparing correspondence and assisting in projects, such as gathering and researching information. This position may attend County Council meetings to ensure true, complete and accurate minutes are taken. This position works under the direct supervision of the Executive Assistant to the County Manager and general supervision of the County Manager.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Associates Degree, in an applicable field, is highly preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience performing at a highly proficient level administrative/secretarial support functions in a business professional setting. Must be fully proficient in the use of technology, including computers, word processing, email, social media and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• 30 credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college or technical school may be substituted at the rate of 20 credits for one year of experience for up to 2 years of the required experience.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, and Other Special Requirements:
A valid Maryland Driver’s license.
