PUBLIC WORKS HIGHWAY DIVISION
ALUMINIZED TYPE 2 METAL PIPE AND/OR HDPE DRAINAGE PIPE

SEALED BIDS for providing proposals to supply to the Department of Public Works, Highway Division; Aluminized Type 2 Metal Pipe and/or HDPE Drainage Pipe for culverts from April 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022. Sealed proposals must be completed and returned to the Dorchester County Council’s Office,  501 Court Lane, Room 108, Cambridge, Maryland, 21613, by 1 P.M. on the date specified below for Bid Opening, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read in County Office Building, Room 110. All bids must be on provided Bid Form.

Bid Opening Date:  1:00 P.M. prevailing time, Tuesday March 9, 2021.  No bids will be accepted after 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 9, 2021.  Sealed envelopes should be clearly marked “BID PROPOSAL – SUPPLYING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS ALUMINIZED TYPE 2 METAL PIPE AND/OR HDPE DRAINAGE PIPE”

Request for specifications and the bid form may be obtained from the Dorchester County Department of Public Works by calling 410-228-2920 or by email at jbrown@docogo.net.

All bids will be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).  Such certified checks shall be returned upon award of contract and the filing of a Performance Bond by the successful bidder.

Upon award of contract, the successful bidder will be required to file a Satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($ 2,500.00).

The Dorchester County Council hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; bidders will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to take whatever bid they determine to be in the best interest of the County considering the lowest or best bid, quality of goods and work, time of delivery or completion, responsibility of bidders being considered, previous experience of bidders, or any other factors they deem appropriate.
