This position provides accounting services to the County as part of the Finance Department. This position performs senior level responsibilities including supervising the daily operations of the Accounting Division. Responsibilities include accounting, all general ledger functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This position is required to adhere to fund accounting and generally accepted accounting principles. This position reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Finance.
Education: HS or GED A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Public Administration.
Experience: A minimum of six years of accounting experience with two years in governmental accounting. Two years of supervisory experience within an accounting setting, preferably governmental.
Note: Can substitute work experience at an accounting manager level year for year for required education.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications and Other Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid driver’s license
